The phrase "take a rain check" is used to decline an invitation politely.
When something is around the corner, it means that someting is going to happen soon.
Quintessentially means in a way that is the most typical example or most important part of something.
"Fake it till you make it" means to act like you want to feel or be, even if you don't feel like it. And soon, you'll make it a habit and you'll feel like it.
In the photo, you can see my homemade scones which I couldn't enjoy in Britain because of the pandemic. I wanted to feel their taste so much that I baked them myself.
